The Committee asks each Civic Association to appoint a Neighborhood Parks Watch officer to watch over that neighborhood's parks and to record and report successes, opportunities for improvement, and requirements for maintenance.

The Committee created a County-wide e-mail list for Neighborhood Parks Watch officers. The Committee encourages those officers to subscribe to the e-mail list and use the list to report and discuss the beauties of, and any problems observed in Arlington County's 120 named parks and many more small unnamed parks.
