Please consider sponsoring the 2nd annual United We Stand 10K, on Saturday, November 9, at West Potomac Park in Washington, DC. (Web site)
At this race, the running community gathers to commemorate the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and to raise funds for relief efforts. The course itself honors America by running past the national monuments. This year, all proceeds net of direct expenses will be donated to two charitable beneficiaries:
We expect 1,000 participants at $18 or $20 each. Entry fees cover t-shirts, refreshments, and awards; net proceeds go in their entirety to the charitable beneficiaries. Thus your donation goes in its entirety to the charitable beneficiaries. In-kind donations enable to donate even more to the charitable beneficiaries. We also expect radio, television, and newspaper coverage; thus your sponsorship gets you high visibility. Your logo will be on all race flyers, on the t-shirts, and on race-day signage.
This race is conducted entirely by volunteers from Montgomery County Road Runners Club, Prince George's Running Club, Potomac Valley Track Club, RacePacket, and Pacers of Alexandria. All labor is donated and all equipment provided free. Last year, we raised more that $8,000 for September 11-related charities.
Please support the running community's response to September 11 with a donation or in-kind services.
