If you examine the list of names of all Civic Federation Presidents since Barcrofter Frederick Handy was the first in 1916 you will soon find some that could be women, or then again... Well, nobody among the current Civic Federation leadership goes back that far, and in fact we would be guessing from the names too. So your choice is clear: guess yourself, or do some more research. And don't overlook the fact that earlier in the 20th century some parents gave their female child a male surname! So that Charles or Harry you see on the list might just be a woman.
