Resolution for Consideration by Arlington County Civic Federation at the June 5, 2001 Meeting

Whereas, Abigail Burroughs is the daughter of a member of the Waycroft-Woodlawn Civic Association, a Federation Member Organization and,

Whereas, Abigail is fighting for her life against cancer of the lungs and brain and,

Whereas, Abigail has exhausted all conventional forms of treatment for cancer and,

Whereas, Abigail�s family has requested and been refused �compassionate treatment� with new cancer fighting medicines under evaluation by three major pharmaceutical companies, be it therefore,

Resolved that the Arlington County Civic Federation, on behalf of it�s 75 member organizations, urge the appropriate officials at the pharmaceutical companies in question to reconsider their decision regarding compassionate treatments for Abigail Burroughs.
